What it is
The Home Repair Resource Center administers up to $10,000 in down payment assistance for income-eligible buyers of one- and two-family homes throughout Cleveland Heights.
How it works
- Complete HUD-approved pre-purchase and home maintenance counseling (certificate required).
- Bring your minimum 3.5% contribution — gift funds are eligible.
- Your lender submits the assistance application to HRRC along with your first-mortgage commitment.
Note that the property must pass certain conditions — defective paint corrected before application, and health/safety code violations fixed before occupancy is approved.
